The Physiotherapy Department is a modern, well-equipped facility with up-to-date therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment.
Therapists carry a general case load that encompasses all areas of therapy, including orthopedics, cardiorespiratory, neurological, geriatric reactivation and a few pediatric cases. Referrals are made from local physicians, as well as specialists and hospitals from Thunder Bay.
Professional development is encouraged to ensure quality health care. Continuing education courses are offered by the Northwestern Ontario District of OPA in Thunder Bay. As well, Thunder bay has a Neuro and Orthopedic interest group which therapists may participate in.
Physiotherapists must be eligible to register to become physiotherapists of Ontario. Applicants must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice with the college of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
