Cell Phone Use
At Nipigon Hospital, we recognize the convenient and immediate communication access a cell phone affords us.
However, at NDMH, there are some restrictions to the use of cell phones for patients and visitors.
Signage is posted throughout the facility where cell phones are restricted. An example of the signage is posted here.
Patients and visitors may only use their cell phones in PUBLIC areas such as entrances, cafeteria, conference and meeting rooms.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will patients and/or visitors be permitted to use cell phones in PATIENT CARE AREAS.
In order to protect the PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY of our patients and residents, the use of cell phones or other wireless devices with the capability of taking STILL OR MOTION PHOTOGRAPHS is STRICTLY PROHOBITED within the Hospital.
